Water monitoring is so important.
Weather permitting, we will learn about our watershed, the Chesapeake Bay, and how we are connected by the water. Students will learn about the properties of water and how it is co-adhesive creating surface tension.
We will see our trout farm as an ecosystem and how the abiotic factors impact the biotic.
Students will design and build models of things that represent the biotic and abiotic parts of the Green Island Ecosystem. Our classroom has turned into Green Island, a place that uses renewable energy sources, and conserves the resources found on the island.
Students will be expected to fill in their green BMP report by the end of March by doing "green" acts at home (things that conserve, protect resources).
